Let's Feed Afghanistan

I haven't really written much about the current war but a few things are really beginning to piss me off and it's time that I spoke up. Let's review the past events, shall we?

One beautiful day in the United States planes start crashing into buildings and killing thousands of people. These attacks are pinned on one ugly fuck with a sheet on his head (the ever evil Osama bin Ladden) and the United States declares war on Afghanistan.

But wait folks...the poor Afghanistan's are starving! What should we do?? Our mentally incapable President came up with a wonderful idea. Let's feed the poor, starving people and then kill them. I don't remember Osama dropping tons of food on the United States and then crashing planes into buildings. I doubt that Osama was concerned that the people he was about to kill did not have their lunch yet.

Bush wants to feed, care for and shelter the innocent people in Afghanistan. He wants to hunt down only the guilty. The Rubik's cube was easier to figure out than this decision is. Last time I checked most wars began and ended with destroying the enemy. There wasn't any hand shaking going on. The enemy does not get to pick his last meal. Yes, I'll have steak and lobster before you shoot me. Most countries fight the battle. They don't make nice-nice with the enemy before destroying them. But America is different. We are a diplomatic, caring and loving society. But only to other countries, not our own.We are the "bend over and I'll kiss your ass" country. The decision to spend our money and spend it on Afghanistan is appalling and nauseating.

The Americans that were killed and their families, were and are tax payers. I wonder how they feel when their hard earned money goes towards feeding the country that killed their loved ones. I personally think it is a disgrace and a slap in the face to those who were directly hit by this tragedy. I was fortunate that our family was not directly affected by this event. But, I would rather have my tax dollars helping a homeless family, a funeral for one of the deceased and counseling for those who lost family and friends rather than going towards a country that just viciously and cowardly attacked us.

I realize that "the entire country" of Afghanistan did not attack us. I know that just one large zit was behind this decision. But it is human nature to hold the entire country responsible whether they like it or not. I would bet anyone a bag of rice that if we attacked another country, they are pretty much going to blame all of America. Other countries would not hesitate to launch a mass slaughter on us. I'm certain they would not drop us a load of food and then ask our permission to attack us. It is not fair, but that is life.

In other articles, I have ranted and raved plenty about how American government does not take care of their own people. But the government, out of the graciousness of their hearts and our pocketbooks, goes out of their way to make sure that every other country has food, weapons and cash. I think that is awfully respectful and completely insane. While Afghanistan enjoys three meals a day, compliments of the American government, less fortunate Americans are still scraping the bottom of garbage cans.

I don't want to see innocent people dying any more than anyone else does. But let's get real here folks. These people live in the fucking desert, in fucking caves and tents, wearing fucking sheets and they are fucking poor! They have done this for centuries. Why is it our job to pluck their asses out of poverty???? Who anointed America the "take care of everyone else country"?

Here is a novel idea...LET'S TAKE CARE OF OUR OWN COUNTRY....FIRST!

My husband turned me on to your website - Thank God someone has the guts
to say what they mean and mean what they say!!! I am enjoying every
little morsel and have also picked up some excellent insults along the
way :o) In this day and age, where political correctness is all the
rage, it's so refreshing to hear someone tell it like it is. Keep it
comin', K! As far as those who "can't take the heat", they need to come
out from under their rock and get a reality fix!!

I think that you missed something on this one. It's not Bush who came up
with this idea of feeding all of the idiots who live in Afghanistan, it was
the morons in congress. You know who I mean, those bright boys who, while
making 6 figures (and up) a year, sit around trying to figure out ways to
steal the money that you and I make (via taxes) and then spend it on some
worthless programs so that the can say they did something. It they want to
feed the people of Afghanistan so bad, I say we make them waiters and send
them over there! Good for them, better for us
