Your sister told me that you and your
daughter are not coming to the baby shower. Why? I thought that we were trying
to put things behind us and to patch up old wounds. Are you not able to get past
this? Tell me how you are feeling. It seemed like dinner that night went fairly
well, even though for some reason we didn't bring up "the topic." Do you need or
want to discuss things? Do you want to forget the whole friendship? Am I making
an effort for no reason? I understand if you don't want to come to the shower, I
would just like to know why.
